So what now VEC limbo mambo.

Hi! i come with a bit of doubt and a bit underwhelmed, all this waiting for LMU we could have like 5 VEC seasons already on rf2.... could have been fine and fun.
the ship has sailed so we are in limbo waiting for LMU to have some " league contro l on servers"....

apparently... as i understand it, lmu renting servers is "cheaper"? than renting a whole dedicated servers. this poses 2 questions.

1-the ACTUAL VEC model, is built on renting servers WHOLE DAMN SERVER FARMS... to run flawlesly... now LMU would cover that making the requested "Fee" a bit lower, wait too much. a Nub can make a 60 player event with 5 euros so this exess payment will secure us "X" seasons for now "overpaying" to the actual model? anyone taking a salary now?

2- Us users. having registered like 90 teams ( 3 drives each avg) i think i payed nearly 80 dollars to get registered for a league that might run in the distant future... multiply that by 90.... or whatever.. even half of it is a lot of money... my doubt is this can we see the company bank statemnt our precious savings are in good care? please dont take offense, any buying customer would take care their purchase or investment.

hope we can get started sooner than later, cheers.

Makes alot of sense Nico, i doubt your calculation is accurate as there is team fee, driver fee and in some cases theres extra fees for premium team subscriptions. Anyway its quite a pot of money. For costs we are talking about hosting a website and ts server. We as a team have that + rfactor2 private server and host that on a remote desktop server. Costs €15/mnd…
My humble opinion, withdraw the costs for last year till lets say july 2027 and refund all drivers.

Or set something up in a different game and see how many people are interested to stay.

@Jimmi Allison , can I give my license to another driver on my team?
I understand that this request is probably unusual, but the circumstances are unusual as well....
 
It has been over a year when the sign ups started, I mean people have lives and maybe you were up for running a championship in 2025 and you cant/wont in 2027
